Byron Writers Festival
An Anzac Centenary Arts and Culture Fund grant enabled the Byron Writers Festival to commission creative art projects for young people; six finalists would showcase their work at the BWF 2018 event. Lynne was approached by Penny Leonard (Anzac Project Coordinator) to display some of the 2015/2016 Poppies at this year's festival.
The poppies were retrieved from storage and cleaned prior to delivery for the event. As Lynne was to be interstate, it was arranged that James Arthur would install. Two strips of the original installation was wrapped around a curved wall which lead guests towards the venue for the Anzac session. The commemorative garland offered an opportunity to pause for reflection on the Anzac legacy.
